ACCA December 2026 Exam: A 10-Week Plan Based on the June 2026 Pass Rates
The June 2026 ACCA results are out, and they say the same thing every sitting says: the Knowledge papers are passed by most, the Applied Skills and Strategic Professional papers are failed by more than half. We broke down the full paper-by-paper numbers in our earlier post, ACCA Pass Rates 2026: Which Papers Are Hardest and Why. This post is the practical follow-up: what to do with those numbers if you are sitting in December 2026.
The December 2026 session is tentatively about ten weeks away, and standard entry closes a few weeks before the exam. Check your exact exam date and entry deadline on myACCA, count your weeks from there, and use the plan below.
The Papers Where More Than Half Failed — June 2026
Level | Paper | Pass Rate |
Applied Skills | Performance Management (PM) | 41% |
Applied Skills | Audit and Assurance (AA) | 47% |
Applied Skills | Financial Management (FM) | 48% |
Strategic Professional | Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA) | 39% |
Strategic Professional | Advanced Performance Management (APM) | 42% |
Strategic Professional | Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) | 47% |
Strategic Professional | Advanced Financial Management (AFM) | 47% |

(Source: ACCA Global, June 2026 pass rates. FR passed 52%, TX 55% and SBL 51%, only just above half. BT 89%, LW 82%, FA 71% and MA 65% are the papers most candidates pass.)
Your 10-Week Plan, by Paper
1. Sitting PM, FR, AA or FM (41% to 52% pass rate)
These are practice papers, not reading papers. Students know the theory and still fail because they cannot finish a three-hour CBE under time pressure.
- Weeks 1 to 4: finish the syllabus. Stop at week 4 even if you are not done; from week 5 the exam is about practice, not new topics.
- Weeks 5 to 8: one full mock every week, timed, on screen, no notes. Mark it honestly against the ACCA marking scheme. A first score of 30 to 40 is normal; that is why you do this in October, not December.
- Weeks 9 to 10: two more mocks plus your weak-area list. Re-attempt only the question types where you lost the most marks.
2. Sitting SBL, SBR, AFM, APM, ATX or AAA (39% to 51% pass rate)
Strategic papers fail on technique. AAA and APM are scenario papers where memorised answers score nothing; SBL fails on reading speed and structure.
- Week 1: a diagnostic mock before any more reading. You need to know your technique gap now, not in week 9.
- Weeks 2 to 7: alternate one week of targeted revision on that gap with one full mock.
- Weeks 8 to 10: three full mocks. For SBL and AAA, write to the requirement verbs (evaluate, recommend, justify) and time-box every part.
3. Sitting BT, MA, FA or LW (65% to 89% pass rate)
Finish the syllabus, then two timed mocks. Your risk is carelessness, not difficulty.
Why a Mock Moves Your Score More Than Another Textbook
A mock does three things a textbook cannot. It tells you your real score today. It shows which question types you lose marks on. And it trains the one skill the pass rates keep punishing: finishing the paper in the time allowed.
On the MBC online LMS, every mock is built to fix the exact failure the June numbers show:
- Every question is timed and tagged by difficulty, so you see how long you actually take on medium and hard questions, which is where students run out of time in the real CBE.
- After you submit, every question, right or wrong, shows the correct answer beside the one you marked and a short solution explaining the reasoning, so the misunderstanding is fixed on the spot.
- Your score report groups mistakes by topic, which becomes your revision list for the remaining weeks.
- Questions follow the ACCA style, scenario first and four close options, so the real paper feels familiar.

A reviewed question on the MBC LMS: the student marked B, the LMS shows the correct answer C and explains why the bonus structure, not risk aversion, drives the finance director’s choice.
Ten such corrections per mock, three mocks per paper, is thirty misconceptions fixed before exam day. A 41% pass rate is not a reason to fear a paper. It is a reason to prepare for it differently from the way the failing 59% did.
December 2026 ke liye kitne mock dene chahiye?
Applied Skills paper के लिए कम से कम 3 full timed mock और Strategic Professional paper के लिए 4। हर mock के बाद अपने weak areas की list बनाएं और उन्हीं पर revision करें।
Mock test se pass hone ke chance kaise badhte hain?
