US CMA (CMA USA) Course in Kerala 2026: Fees, Syllabus, Salary and Result Dates
Kerala searches for “CMA USA” more than any other state in India, and by a long way. On Google Trends over the last 12 months, Kerala scores 100 for “cma usa”, while the next state, Karnataka, scores just 11. Students in Kochi, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram and Malappuram search for the course, the salary, the syllabus and the result.

What Is CMA USA?
CMA stands for Certified Management Accountant. It is awarded by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), a US body. In India it is called “US CMA” or “CMA USA” to separate it from CMA India, which is a different qualification run by ICMAI. They are not the same course.
US CMA focuses on management accounting: budgeting, costing, performance management, financial analysis, risk and decision-making. It suits roles in corporate finance, FP&A, cost control and business analysis, especially in MNCs and global capability centres.
US CMA Exam Pattern: 2 Parts

From 2026, IMA has been replacing the two essay questions in each part with case-based questions: short business cases followed by several application questions. When Can You Sit the Exam? Testing Windows
US CMA exams are held in three testing windows each year: January–February, May–June and September–October. You book a slot at a Prometric test centre within the window. Kerala students usually look at the nearest Prometric centre when scheduling. The next window is January–February 2027. CMA USA Result: When Do Scores Come Out?
“CMA USA result” is the fastest-rising US CMA search in India right now (up about 80% in the last year). IMA releases scores after each testing window, and IMA has said scores for the new case-based format can come out faster than the older essay format. US CMA Eligibility
- To sit the exams: you need IMA membership and to pay the CMA entrance fee. College students can start the exams while studying.
- To receive the certification: you need a bachelor’s degree (B.Com, BBA or similar) and two years of continuous professional experience in management accounting or financial management.
This is why many Kerala students do US CMA alongside their B.Com and finish the exams by the time they graduate.

Student rates apply while you are enrolled in college, so registering during your B.Com saves a meaningful amount.

US CMA or ACCA?
Kerala is also India’s biggest ACCA market. Both are good choices for different goals. US CMA is shorter (two parts) and focused on management accounting and corporate finance. ACCA is longer (13 papers) and covers financial reporting, audit, tax and strategy, with wider recognition for accounting and audit roles. How to Prepare From Kerala, Online
- Plan one part per window. Most students take Part 1 first, then Part 2 in the next window.
- Practise the 50% MCQ gate. If you do not reach 50% on the MCQs, you cannot reach the case-based section. Timed MCQ mocks matter more than reading.
- Practise case-based questions under time. They test application, not memory.
- Take full mocks in the last four weeks and revise only the topics where you lose marks.
